Refunds & Cancellation
Cancel in two clicks and it stops immediately, keep your data, and ask for your money back within the first two weeks if GoMatchToApply was not worth it.
In effect from 18 September 2026.
1. Cancelling
Open billing settings and choose Cancel Premium. It takes one confirmation. You do not need to email anyone, and nobody will try to talk you out of it.
Cancelling takes effect immediately. The subscription ends there and then, there is no further charge, and the account is on Free from that moment rather than at the end of the month.
The flip side of immediate is that the rest of a period you have already paid for is not automatically refunded. If you are cancelling part-way through a month and want that time back, say so — see Refunds below, which covers it.
2. What happens to your account afterwards
It moves to the Free plan. It is not closed, locked, or emptied. Your tracker, saved jobs, applications, inbox and resumes are all still there, and the Free allowance of 25 prepared applications a month applies from then on.
If you want the data gone as well, that is a separate action in your privacy settings, and it is permanent.
3. Refunds
Within 14 days of your first payment: ask and we refund it in full, whatever the reason. Email admin@gomatchtoapply.com from the address on your account.
After that: cancelling stops the next charge, and the remainder of the period you are in is not refunded by default.
We will refund a period, or the unused part of one, outside that window when:
- You cancelled part-way through a month and had barely used Premium in it — cancelling ends the plan immediately, so ask and we will refund the rest of that period.
- You were charged after cancelling, or charged twice.
- GoMatchToApply was unavailable, or a feature you were paying for was broken, for a meaningful part of the period.
- You never used the Premium features in the period charged.
Refunds go back to the card that was charged, through Stripe. They usually appear within five to ten business days, which is your bank’s timeline rather than ours.
4. Allowances do not become money
Monthly allowances reset each period and are not transferable, refundable, or exchangeable for cash. An unused allowance at the end of a month is not a credit toward the next one — the ceiling exists to bound cost, not to be spent down.
5. Failed payments
Stripe retries a failed payment over several days and will email you. If it never succeeds, the account moves to Free rather than being locked: you keep access to your own applications, tracker and documents, and you can export them at any point.
6. Price changes
Premium is $49 a month. If the price changes, the new price applies from your next renewal after we have told you, never mid-period, and you can cancel before it takes effect.
Prices are still being tested rather than settled. If yours goes up, you will hear it from us by email first.
7. Before you file a chargeback
Please write to admin@gomatchtoapply.com first. A refund we issue directly reaches you faster than one your bank claws back, and if the charge was our mistake we would rather fix it than argue about it.
